In an effort to strengthen and enhance knowledge management and information sharing across the Group's diversified interests, the marketing department has recently launched a marketing information system (MkIS), that seeks to collate marketing information across subsidiaries, for sharing purposes. The MkIS has been deployed on SharePoint technology. Acting as a central repository for archived press releases, image and logo library, advert video and sound clips, advertising corporate deals, subsidiary marketing plans and advertising schedules, shared research studies, publicly available customer databases and general statistics, amongst other related folders, constitute the main components of the system, that has been unveiled to the Group's marketers, to assist them in their roles. The MkIS enables knowledge sharing and provides another channel for increased communication between marketers and their teams, as well as inter company synergy and co-operation.
