Along with their partners, Air Monitor (UK), Joseph Cachia & Son Ltd have just concluded the delivery, commissioning and training of a new mobile air quality van based at the University’s main campus in Msida. The range of equipment in the newly purchased air quality van comprises the following: ozone transfer standard and multi gas calibration facilities, ozone monitors, CO monitors, SO2 and NOx analysers, Radon-222 detectors, aerosols analysers, GC's for VOC’s monitoring, two low volume samplers with built-in filter changing facility, aethelometers as well as meteorological sensors. Two complete sets of instruments have been purchased to allow both indoor as well as outdoor ambient air quality to be investigated at the same time.
