Exigy Proudly Sponsors ICT Events Organised by University of Malta
In our constant efforts to encourage investment in ICT resources, we are proud to sponsor two events which recognise and reward the efforts and achievements of tertiary education ICT students. Organised by the University of Malta, the Dean's List Awards and the Student's Project Exhibition are intended to motive further achievements amongst students reading a degree course within the Faculty of ICT.
The first occasion of the Dean's List Awards within the Faculty of ICT took place on Wednesday, 20th May 2009. During this event, Dr. Ernest Cachia, Dean of the Faculty of ICT, presented the highest achieving students within various years of the degree programmes with a reward for their outstanding efforts and results. As one of the sponsors of the Dean's List Awards, a representative from Exigy's Corporate Services team was present for this event. More information about this ceremony is available at http://www.um.edu.mt/newsoncampus/features#item_65659.
The annual ICT Students' Projects Exhibition, which will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of July 2009, provides the opportunity for ICT students to exhibit their final year projects. The main aim of the event is to showcase the talent of these students to the general public as well as to representatives from various ICT companies who will have the chance to familiarise themselves with the students' projects. In addition, company representatives will be able to speak to students and possibly consider them for future engagement within their organisation. As an official sponsor for this event, Exigy has been awarded an exhibition stand whereby representatives from the Corporate Services team will be meeting with students and discussing with them the career openings within the company.
Attracting the attention of various parastatal companies and Ministries, these events secure greater exposure of local students' ICT capabilities, increasing their success potential for future employment within the ICT field. At Exigy, we highly appraise any such career development initiatives and actively contribute towards their success.
