The Honourable Noel A. Kinsella, Senator and Speaker of the Canadian Senate, visited Malta from the 8th � 10th February 2007. He was accompanied by Mrs Kinsella and a Parliamentary delegation made up of Senators Mr. Marcel Prud�homme, Mr. David P. Smith and Ms. Nancy Ruth.
The visit programme included a meeting with the Rector of the University of Malta followed by courtesy calls on the President of the Republic of Malta, Dr. Edward Fenech Adami, the Speaker of the House of Parliament, Dr. Anton Tabone and the newly appointed Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Paul Cremona.
A visit to the Malta Drydocks had to be cancelled at the minute in view of industrial action.
A lunch in honour of the Speaker of the Senate and delegation was hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and was attended by the Honourary Consul, Mr. J.M. Demajo and selected government ministers and members of parliament.
The programme included visits to historical places including St. John�s Cathedral, The Malta Experience audio-visual show, Palazzo Falson, the Hypogeum Temples and the Inquisitor�s Palace. The delegation was very much impressed with the wealth of heritage of the Maltese islands.
On the 9th February the Hon. Noel Kinsella, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, visited Demajo House.
