From 31st May to 10th June, M. Demajo (Graphic Arts) Ltd attended the Drupa 2016 exhibition in Messe Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany as an exhibitor at the Heidelberg stand. Drupa is the leading international printing equipment and cross-media solutions exhibition in the world, and visitors are typically in the range of hundreds of thousands, with visitors exceeding 300,000 and even 400,000 in recent years.

Drupa is well-known for providing a platform for future technologies and with the slogan “touch the future”, this year mainly focused on next-generation themes including packaging production, functional printing, 3D printing, multichannel publishing, green printing, and print. The biggest highlight of Drupa 2016 was Print 4.0, as noted by the Chairman of the Drupa Committee and Chairman of the Board at Koenig & Bauer AG, Claus Bolza-Schünemann, who had the following to say about it:

“Print 4.0 enables individualisation and personalisation in digital printing. In the face of high quality packaging and the rapidly diversifying range of solutions in industrial and functional printing this digital networking of machines and systems offers the solution and guarantee for efficiency and competitiveness. Print 4.0 is the mega trend at Drupa 2016. This is very clear even at this early stage.”
