Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, two leading independent schools in Malta, will today launch their upcoming LP+ e-learning platform that will be made available for the next scholastic year.
Leading, and award-winning, UK e-learning platform company LP+, together with its Maltese partner Exigy, announced today that this is the result of signing their first two e-learning project agreements on the Island.
Mr. Patrick Tabone, Principal of the two schools, said, "This is a very exciting and important development for our schools. E-learning will bring personalised learning to our students and give them new skills that are very relevant for the times in which we live. I look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with LP+ and Exigy that will deliver real value to our pupils, parents and staff."
The launch marks the entry of LP+ into Malta and the establishment of a local office with its partner Exigy, a member of the M. Demajo Group. Exigy is a leading player in the e-government arena, providing comprehensive solutions to meet the specialised needs of Governments and public sector institutions. The move into e-learning represents a natural extension to the business.
The deal follows LP+ winning the prestigious 2010 BETT Education Partnership Award for its work in transforming schools in Wolverhampton Local Authority, England. LP+'s ADOPT framework has also been selected by BECTA (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency, an agency of the Department for Education) as the National Model for eLearning Maturity in England. LP+ serves over 500 schools in England, with over 400,000 online users.
Mehool Sanghrajka, CEO of the LP+ Group, said, “This is an enormously exciting partnership. It is effectively the launch of LP+ into the Maltese market and surrounding region. Malta has an outstanding record in e-government and an exciting vision to transform the island into a knowledge economy. It’s an exciting place to be.”
Francois Grech, Executive Director of Exigy said, “I am very excited about this partnership. LP+ has an outstanding track record, with unbeatable knowledge and experience of building e-learning platforms. LP+ and Exigy are working together to formulate a global e-learning platform.” He continued, “This is a big step ahead for our company, since this partnership will allow us to bring leading technology to the global education market.”
