Exigy, in collaboration with Microsoft, held a half-day seminar aimed at presenting cutting-edge, technology innovations for business on Wednesday, 8thof May at the Radisson Blu Resort, St. Julian’s. Acting as a showcase of the latest releases in technology, the event – titled Enabling Business Growth Through Technology – brought together CTOs, Financial Directors and Operations Managers from different industries, who wanted to gain a better insight into the latest technology trends that drive business innovation and prepare businesses for growth. The event opening address was delivered by Mr. Francois Grech, Executive Director at Exigy, who spoke about Exigy’s achievements over the past 10 years, explaining the benefits technology can reap when coupled with business transformation.  In his keynote address, The Hon. Edward Zammit Lewis, Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, emphasised the importance of technology for the achievement of economic and business growth whilst highlighting the measures the new Government will drive to stimulate the Maltese economy. 

Mr. Lino Casapinta, Partner at PwC, spoke about the importance for businesses to keep abreast with technology innovations, and redeploy when necessary to ensure the relevance of technology solutions implemented. Mr. Casapinta introduced the advantages of Enterprise Resource Planning systems for business, a discussion that was further developed by Ms. Tatjana Lukic, Partner Lead at Microsoft Business Solutions, who spoke about Microsoft’s breakthrough year with the new releases of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint 2013. 

The event progressed with real live demos of these three newly released solutions, presenting case scenarios and covering different aspects of each solution, namely effective cashflow management and reporting capabilities, supply chain efficiency for procurement, replenishment and distribution processes, project costings and resources controls, sales reps mobility for improved productivity and seamless collaboration and integration across the enterprise.
