MEA Annual conference - Dealing with Labour Shortages

On Wednesday 28th November 2007, Maronna Filletti, HR director of the M. Demajo Group, was invited to join the panel at the Malta Employers Association Annual conference where the conference subject was ‘Dealing with Labour Shortages’. An address was given by the Hon. Dr. Louis Galea, Minister of Education, Youth and Employment. Various other speakers spoke about how best to deal with labour shortages and also highlighted possible solutions to decrease this problem which was being felt in all sectors of the country’s economy. Maronna spoke about the advantages of having a National Qualifications Framework with special emphasis on how individuals can benefit through this initiative and how organizations can best use this framework when assessing their employees and also prospective candidates.The conference was co-sponsored by Newtech Ltd, a subsidiary of the M. Demajo Group.
