Perhaps the Group’s most important contribution to Malta’s ongoing development is in ICT.  The Groups policy “to lead in every sector we operate in” meant that from the very start, the Group insisted on continuous update of this fast moving technology.  Customers learnt to expect – and demand – state of the art solutions.  Competitors and even national policy makers had to follow suit.  ICT is today a specific ministerial responsibility in Malta.  The Group continues to lead in ICT, in both hardware and software solutions and today Malta boasts one of the highest levels of national, governmental and corporate IT, a very high rate of domestic broadband penetration together with one of the best telecoms infrastructure in the Mediterranean.
