Consumer Division

The original activities of the Group centred on importation and distribution.  Today, these activities have grown to include also retail, re-export and cross border trading.  The Group today operates various warehouses, showrooms, service/distribution centres and retail outlets and is present in every major shopping mall or major retail area in Malta.  For several years, the Group has been supplying consumer and industrial products to the North African market and following Malta’s EU accession, there has been growing demand for Malta to become an EU entry and distribution port.  For this reason, the Group is building up a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Distribution Network directed to both traditional and new market regions. 

M Demajo & Co Ltd, the original Demajo trading company, is active in the automotive sector, representing suppliers such as the Piaggio Group and Pirelli for the past 50 years. Today lifestyle bikes such as Vespa are very popular motorcycles in Malta. This company is one of the most respected and established distributors in this sector supporting both the local market as well as cross border activity.

M. Demajo (Wines and Spirits) Ltd

This company founded Malta's innovative and upmarket souvenirs - Bajtra liqueur and Mystic Blue fragrances, as well as successfully distributed premium Illy Coffee to Maltese elite food and beverage outlets.  

This company has evolved from its original activity (the pre WW1 supply of spirits to the British Forces in Egypt) into the leading wines and spirits Malta importer that it is today. The company is the local arm of two of the top three alcoholic beverage companies worldwide DIAGEO and Moet Hennessy. As a result it can boast of an unparalleled portfolio of brands, most of them leaders in their own sectors.

A few of these brands include Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Baileys, Hennessy, Moet & Chandon, J&B and B & G wines.

The company also imports and distributes a range of fine confectionery brands such as Lindt , Guylian, Godiva, Novi and Dufour and runs its own retail outlet, Est Est Est situated in one of the country’s smartest shopping areas – Tower Road Sliema.

M. Demajo (Toyshops) Ltd is a major retailer and distributor in the local market for top quality toys and games. Toyshops Ltd. operates several retail outlets in major shopping complexes and today its retail name “Pedigree Toyshops” is synonymous with an extensive variety of branded toys, at highly competitive prices. This company also has a souvenir retail outlet under the name of Memory Bay, that offers unique souvenir products to tourists. Recently the company expanded its operations and have become the master franchisee for Premaman, an international brand for maternity wear, childrens clothes and nursery accessories.
